📋 Kindergarten Math Skills Checklist

Use this family-friendly checklist to see what your child can demonstrate independently. Each skill links to a related Math Quest Academy game, plus a short real-world activity.

Standards scope: These 22 checkboxes summarize the 22 Common Core Kindergarten mathematics standards. They are not a verified Texas TEKS crosswalk or a substitute for a teacher's standards-based evaluation. Pair this checklist with the 12 parent-guided hands-on assessments and the 40-question practice assessment.

For parents: A checked skill means you observed your child demonstrate it. Playing a game alone does not automatically mark a standard as mastered. Some skills need writing, talking, or hands-on practice.

Texas TEKS & Next Steps

Texas also requires skills beyond this 22-item Common Core checklist, including money identification, graphs, and personal financial literacy. Review our 36-expectation Texas TEKS Coverage Map to identify where additional practice and hands-on checks are needed.

Graduation & Next Steps

After practicing the skills above, complete the five-part Kindergarten Graduation Challenge. Review the adult observation checks in its final report too.

There is no need to rush. Children may demonstrate skills on different days.
